CONSULTING & PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT
Whether you're launching your first private practice, trying to keep your head above water in graduate school, untangling the knot of burnout, reimagining how you show up in your work (or in life, to be honest), or advocating fiercely for the people and communities you care about — I offer grounded, collaborative consulting designed to meet you exactly where you are. (Spoiler: that means showing up with humor, empathy, and maybe even a little off-script cussing, because healing doesn’t always live in clinical-sounding words.)
This space is especially made for the in-betweens — the “uh-oh, now what?” moments where the old ways aren’t cutting it, but the next step isn’t crystal clear either. I work with therapists, graduate students, holistic wellness practitioners, and fellow helping humans to build foundations and offerings that feel sustainable, values-aligned, and completely human.
So here’s what we’ll do: we’ll slow things down, maybe crack a joke (or at least a moment of relief), honor what’s emerging in you, and co-create something that feels less like a to-do list and more like a calling. Scariness with grace — that’s the vibe.
WHAT WE CAN WORK ON TOGETHER
Whether you're trying to decipher the mysteries of private practice paperwork, wondering if burnout is your new personality trait, or just need someone to say, “Yep, that’s a completely reasonable way to feel right now” — I’ve got you.
Here are a few ways we can work together:

PRIVATE PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT
(aka: Building It Without Burning Out)
-
Sorting out licensure and supervision logistics — including what you actually need, when you need it, and what you can stop panicking about.
-
Creating intake paperwork, informed consent, and policies that reflect your ethics, your voice, and the type of care you provide — not just the legal minimum.
-
Setting up your systems (scheduling, EHR, payment processing, sliding scale structure, cancellation policy) in ways that are streamlined and actually sustainable for you.
-
Talking through the sticky stuff — like figuring out your rates, feeling confident about charging them, and unlearning the guilt that often comes with that.
-
Exploring what kind of therapist or practitioner you actually want to be, not just what your professors, supervisors, or colleagues expect you to be.
-
Building a practice that reflects your values, centers your humanity, and supports your nervous system — not one that just “looks good on paper.”

GRADUATE SCHOOL
& EARLY CAREER SUPPORT
(for when you feel like you’re supposed to already know everything — and definitely don’t)
-
Making sense of the unclear, unspoken, or completely contradictory parts of your program, including the parts they don’t explain but still expect you to get right.
-
Processing the growing pains of being in-session as a student or intern, especially when it feels like you’re just pretending to know what you're doing.
-
Practicing documentation and case notes so they feel less terrifying and more like a meaningful clinical tool (without being an emotional dumping ground).
-
Talking through identity development, confidence, and imposter syndrome in a space that won’t just tell you to "fake it 'til you make it."
-
Clarifying the path forward — licensure, supervision, and post-grad planning — with honesty, options, and support that doesn't overwhelm.
-
Being reminded that you’re not broken or behind — the system is just messy, and you’re doing better than you think.
Sliding scale sessions are always available for graduate students and pre-licensed clinicians. You’re worthy of support now, not just “once you’ve figured it out.”

BURNOUT PREVENTION & RECOVERY
(sometimes known as: crawling out of the exhaustion pit with your dignity intact)
-
Identifying what’s actually burning you out — whether it’s your workload, the system you’re in, your internalized expectations, or all of the above.
-
Naming and making space for grief, disillusionment, and overwhelm without needing to justify it or make it palatable.
-
Reconnecting to joy, curiosity, rest, and play, not as luxuries, but as essential pieces of who you are.
-
Exploring boundaries, permission, and nervous system rhythms to build something that isn’t just less exhausting, but actually nourishing.
-
Untangling your self-worth from your productivity, and maybe giving that perfectionist part of you a much-needed nap.
-
Creating a more sustainable way of doing life and work, without shame for how long it took to realize you needed something different.

ETHICAL MARKETING & MESSAGING
(for when you want to show up without selling your soul)
-
Clarifying what you actually offer, who it's for, and how to say it, without disappearing into self-doubt or second-guessing every word.
-
Writing bios, website copy, and social media posts that sound like you, not like you swallowed a corporate thesaurus.
-
Exploring your relationship to visibility and authenticity, especially if being “seen” feels vulnerable, risky, or just plain exhausting.
-
Building messaging around your values and voice, not around manipulative sales strategies or gimmicks.
-
Holding space for your full complexity and intersecting identities, while still being clear, accessible, and professional.
-
Co-creating content that respects your capacity and your boundaries, because burnout shouldn’t start in your marketing plan.

PROFESSIONAL SPEAKING
& WORKSHOP SUPPORT
(because your voice matters, even if public speaking makes your stomach flip)
-
Brainstorming, outlining, and shaping content for trainings, panels, or workshops that feel real, meaningful, and aligned.
-
Organizing material in a way that flows, engages your audience, and still leaves space for you to breathe and adjust as you go.
-
Developing handouts, visuals, or structure that supports your voice, instead of becoming a distraction or an energy drain.
-
Finding your rhythm and presence as a speaker, even if you're someone who swears they “just aren’t good at presenting.”
-
Creating affirming, trauma-informed learning spaces that reflect your values and honor your audience's diverse experiences.
-
Showing up without needing to be perfect, and still offering something powerful, helpful, and genuinely you.

IDENTITY, VALUES,
& ADVOCACY ALIGNMENT
(for when who you are feels inseparable from the work you do)
-
Brainstorming, outlining, and shaping content for trainings, panels, or workshops that feel real, meaningful, and aligned.
-
Organizing material in a way that flows, engages your audience, and still leaves space for you to breathe and adjust as you go.
-
Developing handouts, visuals, or structure that supports your voice, instead of becoming a distraction or an energy drain.
-
Finding your rhythm and presence as a speaker, even if you're someone who swears they “just aren’t good at presenting.”
-
Creating affirming, trauma-informed learning spaces that reflect your values and honor your audience's diverse experiences.
-
Showing up without needing to be perfect, and still offering something powerful, helpful, and genuinely you.
Disclaimer: Consultations with me are not a replacement for clinical supervision, legal advice, legal guidance, or professional mental health support. My role here isn’t to tell you what you “should” do — it’s to share what I’ve learned through my own lived experience of building and running a small business for over 10 years.
My goal is to remove some of the unnecessary gatekeeping that exists in the wellness and mental health fields, and to offer real-world insights, tools, and support to help you make informed decisions that work for you. While I’ll share my process, resources, and lessons learned, you are always encouraged to seek your own clinical supervisor and clinical supervision, legal counsel, or other professional guidance where appropriate.

LET'S CONNECT
If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably curious, overwhelmed, hopeful — or some combination of all three. That’s okay. This is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out.
Whether you’re dreaming up your first private practice, trying to survive grad school, finding your voice as a speaker, or just craving a grounded space to explore what’s next, I’d love to walk alongside you.
Consulting with me isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all answers. It’s about collaboration, curiosity, and creating space for the real, messy, human parts of this work — the parts they don’t always talk about in supervision, textbooks, or marketing webinars.
If you’re ready to explore working together, you can schedule a session or reach out with your questions using the form below. I’ll get back to you within my regular business hours (Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CST).
Take a breath. You don’t have to do this alone.
