Happy Pride Month

Pride Month carries layers of meaning — celebration, resilience, grief, and advocacy, all woven together.
I work with LGBTQIA+ clients not just because it’s “part of my niche,” but because this work is personal. Sacred. Urgent. Holding space for queer and trans folks in a state where simply existing openly can put us at risk isn’t just my job — it’s a responsibility I carry with deep care and conviction.
In a sociopolitical climate where our rights, bodies, and identities are constantly debated or denied, mental health care that affirms, protects, and uplifts LGBTQIA+ people isn’t optional — it’s life-saving. I take seriously the trust my queer clients place in me. I strive to offer a therapeutic space that is not only trauma-informed and person-centered, but radically safe. A space where you are never “too much,” where your identity is never up for debate, and where your joy, pain, love, and truth are all honored.
To be queer in Arkansas is to know complexity — to love and grieve in the same breath, to be vigilant and vibrant all at once. If you’re navigating that complexity, you’re not alone. My practice was created with you in mind.
I’m currently onboarding new therapy clients, with sessions beginning soon — pending final Board review and approval of my counseling license, which is expected any day now. Once active, I will begin seeing clients immediately. If you’ve been looking for a queer-affirming therapist who truly understands — I’m here, and I’m ready. Consultations are open now.
This Pride Month, I’m honoring the bravery of being yourself in a world that often demands otherwise. I’m also honoring the quieter acts of courage: making a therapy appointment, using your pronouns, setting a boundary, and choosing to stay.
You are sacred. You deserve support. And I’m here for you.
With love and solidarity,
Ashley
